TOUR ITINERARY
23–27 OCTOBER 2026
Five days exploring the elegance of Bordeaux, the vineyards of Saint-Émilion and the landscapes of the Atlantic coast, all the way to the spectacular Dune du Pilat.
A small-group journey designed for adults, accompanied by a Hi-Land tour leader from Rome, combining organised experiences with free time to enjoy the destination at a relaxed pace and experience its authentic atmosphere.
Most transfers and journeys included in the itinerary will be made by public transport, offering a more direct and authentic way to experience the destination.
23 October — Rome → Bordeaux
Departure from Rome Fiumicino at 10:25 and arrival in Bordeaux at 12:40. Transfer by public transport and check-in at the hotel.
In the afternoon, enjoy a first walk through Bordeaux's historic centre with the tour leader, followed by a Welcome Wine with a glass of local Bordeaux wine.
Dinner at leisure and overnight stay.
24 October — Bordeaux & Traditional Dinner
Breakfast. In the morning, enjoy a 2-hour guided tour with an Italian-speaking guide, from Place de la Bourse to the Grand Théâtre, Rue Sainte-Catherine, the Saint-Pierre district, Porte Cailhau and the historic squares of the city centre.
Afternoon at leisure; an optional visit to the Cité du Vin is recommended.
In the evening, enjoy an organised traditional dinner in central Bordeaux.
25 October — Arcachon & Dune du Pilat
Breakfast and departure for Arcachon, an elegant Atlantic seaside resort overlooking its famous bay and renowned for its oyster production.
Continue to the spectacular Dune du Pilat, the immense sand dune overlooking the ocean, offering panoramic views across the Atlantic, Arcachon Bay and the Landes forest.
Return to Bordeaux and evening at leisure.
26 October — Saint-Émilion & Château
Breakfast and departure by public transport to Saint-Émilion, a charming UNESCO-listed medieval village surrounded by the vineyards that have made Bordeaux famous throughout the world.
Walk through the village with the tour leader followed by some free time. Afterwards, visit a château in the Saint-Émilion appellation, including its cellars and a wine tasting.
Return to Bordeaux and evening at leisure.
27 October — Bordeaux → Rome
Breakfast, check-out and luggage storage.
Free time for last visits and shopping. We recommend discovering the Marché des Capucins, the city's gastronomic heart, strolling among the shops and boutiques of Chartrons, enjoying some shopping or visiting the Cité du Vin.
Transfer to the airport and departure at 21:25. Arrival at Rome Fiumicino at 23:25.
